Protein Waffle stuffed with bacon

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Protein Waffle Mix, I use Kodiak Cakes
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tbsp real maple syrup
  • 4 pieces of bacon

Instructions

  • Cook bacon until crisp
  • Preheat waffle iron
  • In a measuring cup mix together waffle mix, water and maple syrup, if you batter is too thin you can add a small amount of waffle mix to thicken it up
  • Break each piece of bacon in half
  • Spray the top and bottom of your waffle iron with butter flavored cooking spray
  • Pour a small amount of your batter into the waffle iron and place two half pieces of bacon on top
  • Pour a small amount of batter on top of the bacon
  • Close the top and let cook until steam stops coming from your waffle iron
  • If your waffle iron doesn’t cook as hot on top you can flip your waffle over and line back up and close the top to cook a little longer
  • Continue this process until you have 4 stuffed waffles

Once you have your waffle serve with additional real maple syrup.

Note: You can use the stuffed waffle to make a breakfast sandwich and have a great handheld breakfast
