Sausage and Cheese Biscuits
This might have come originally from Bisquick but I’m not sure… Mother has been making these at the holidays for as long as I can remember and she can’t remember where she got the recipe.
Ingredients
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups bisquick or other baking mix
1 cup water
1 pound uncooked breakfast sausage – I use Jimmy Deans, sage or regular, if you like a kick use the hot
Directions
In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients. I use my hands on this one to add in that additional love and it’s much quicker than using a spoon or other mixing instrument.
Drop by teaspoon full onto a cookie sheet, about 1 inch apart, and bake until lightly brown
You can control the number of biscuits you get by how large your drop them on the cookie sheet.
