{"id":148,"date":"2016-08-05T00:45:12","date_gmt":"2016-08-05T00:45:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jessepannell.com\/?page_id=148"},"modified":"2016-08-05T00:45:12","modified_gmt":"2016-08-05T00:45:12","slug":"quick-and-easy-chicken-and-dumplings","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/jessepannell.com\/index.php\/recipes\/human-recipes\/main-dishes\/quick-and-easy-chicken-and-dumplings\/","title":{"rendered":"Quick and Easy Chicken and Dumplings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Quick and Easy Chicken and Dumplings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><br \/>\n2 cans of cream of chicken soup<br \/>\n3 cans of chicken broth or stock<br \/>\n1 chicken breast (more if you want)<br \/>\n2 cans of crescent rolls<br \/>\nSalt and Pepper to taste<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong><br \/>\nCook your chicken breast in a small pot until done, reserve the broth from cooking<\/p>\n<p>Shred your chicken and place in the bottom of a large pot<br \/>\nMix in the two cans of cream of chicken soup and two cans of chicken broth (hold the third until later)<br \/>\nBring to a slow boil<br \/>\nOnce you have a slow boil<br \/>\nLay out your crescent rolls and cut into strips, about 1 inch by 1-1\/2 inch<br \/>\nDrop your crescent rolls into the boiling soup and cook until done<\/p>\n<p>As you add in your crescent roll pieces if your broth is starting to get too thick add in the third can of chicken stock.<br \/>\nIf it\u2019s still too thick you can then start adding in the reserved broth from cooking the chicken until your desired consistency.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Note<\/strong>: You don\u2019t have to cut the crescent rolls into strips if you want to save time you can just pull off pieces and drop in, just make sure they are not too small. You can also substitute canned biscuits if you want, just pinch off pieces and drop in.
